Just Breathe

We loved chatting to Dr Ela Manga this month about the importance and benefits of correct breathing, and we couldn’t wait to hear about the best ways to make sure we pass this on to our kids. Check out her answer below!

How can your breathing techniques be passed on to children?

Children learn best from what they experience and observe. By making conscious breathing part of your family ritual, you’re helping your child to create a solid and lasting relationship with themselves and their breath. Most children breathe very well naturally, especially under the age of seven. After that, bad breathing habits tend to creep in… It’s easy to teach breathing to children by incorporating breathing in games and play, – like with blowing bubbles, or taking a deep breath while pretending you’re sniffing a rose!
