Cool life-saving app is a huge plus

Cool life-saving app is a huge plus

Safety is paramount and we love this cool (and free may we add) app called iER that has been developed by Affinity Enterprises. The app allows emergency personnel to assist in key situations or moments of crisis, anywhere around Gauteng and at no cost offers trauma assistance to everyone!

We really love this super cool app that has just been released by Affinity Enterprises. Not only is it free to use, but also gives a large portion of the population that may not have access to medical assistance, immediate access in case of an emergency?
Cool, right? So read on to see how it all works – we are currently downloading the app as we type!
The iER (Integrated Emergency Response) mobile app was developed to specifically meet a critical need and give South Africans free and immediate access to the emergency response sector.
The only one of its kind in the country, the iER app connects users to thousands of emergency services, including medical, land and sea rescue, roadside assistance, policing, private security, law enforcement, and others, through a centralised and dedicated 24-hour call centre manned by emergency trained staff.
The quick to install and free to use app incorporates personal details such as your blood type, medical aid, private security company, family and friends, and also gives the call centre instant access to vital information in the event of an emergency.
An additional valuable feature enables users to create groups for family, friends, neighbourhood watches, or other personal groups, which can be instantly messaged with vital information in the event of a traumatic incident.
iER was launched in 2016 and has quickly gained popularity with now over 92 000 downloads logged. “The call centre deals with about 200 legitimate alerts for which services are dispatched each week – and in April alone, our statistics show that 159 lives were saved through iER.” Says Paul McNamee, GM of Affinity Enterprises.
Fully endorsed by Gauteng SAPS and Civilians Crime Intelligence Network (CCIN) and acknowledged as “exactly what South Africa needed to prevent crime and save lives” this could be the answer to a safer and more secure Joburg for us all.
Quick response is key and now that iER are able to access this vital info almost immediately means that there may be a wave of change in safety. We likey muchly!
The iER app is available on the Google Play Store as well as the Apple App Store for Android and iOS devices.
