The Haunted Forest returns to Jozi in time for Halloween
If you love all things creepy, or if you think you may be a witch or a goblin – then don your best outfit (maybe even pop on a mask) and get ready to scare (or be scared) at this calendar highlight event!
Let us just set the scene here for you… Riversands farm is a beautiful sprawling farm on the outskirts of the city, where picnics and concerts are often held during the day. But by night, it totally transforms in to a mystical and eerie haunted forest. As the sun starts to set, and the mist rolls across the dam, things take on a whole new look.
Scared yet? Good! The team have created a spook-tacular event with creatures in the dam, freaky fog in the forest, ghastly spiders all scattered through 3 km’s of woodland walkways, where plenty of thrilling treats and surprises await intrepid explorers – we hear tales of skeletons and eyeballs!
Tutu Showgirls await at the Saloon or why not walk the plank with muscled pirates, toss a skull at the Freak Show or take part in the organised trick or treat?
There are a number of activities planned for the afternoon and evening and the gates to the farm will open at 15h00 and close at 23h30.
There are kiddies activities and the ‘Adam’s Family Values’ movie will be screened at 19h00 on the big screen for the little ones.
Adult only activities are available and kids will not be allowed in to these – most specifically the Forest and also The Conjuring. This year also promises some exciting new additions that are under wraps, but we have been assured that we will love them!
Everyone, all ages, will be given access to the forest at night to enjoy it at it’s best with set times, as per above activities mentioned. Note: as this event caters to all ages, you will need to choose to enter at your own risk – as some scenes will be more frightening than others.
Tickets of course are limited and are available on Quicket – here…
