When it comes to beautiful homeware/gift shops, there are plenty (too many!) tempting our wallets at the moment. Essential Life in Parkhurst is one such place.
All clean lines, natural colours and contemporary designs (see above), it stocks an amazing selection of locally created lifestyle products including crockery, scented candles, bath products, furniture, lamps and mirrors. Details: 011-447-2142.
Also divine is T&Co in Kramerville, a lifestyle emporium by Tanya Sturgeon (ex-Silk & Cotton Co) that offers furniture, fabrics and accessories from SA and Belgium, such as chandeliers, bed linen, silver tea sets, old-fashioned wall clocks and these lovely decorative hearts (see left). We also love Lime Grove for its ceramics, candlesticks, picture frames and table ornaments, and Off The Wall for its crystal, silver and table linen - both in Morningside Shopping Centre. Details: 087-940-3875 and 087-940-3906 respectively.
